Last time I posted I think I was in need of something akin to a lion tamer- only one that could tame all the noisy characters in my head and put them into their proper places. I’ve given up hope on some magical formula that will allow me to concentrate on one story while the others wait patiently for their turn, but things have gotten better.
I am close to finishing the second to last story that will go in the short story compilation. When this one is finished I will have one more to go before starting the editing process on some already finished stories, and the re-writes of the last ones. I’m still counting on my daughter to contribute more poetry for the book.
Once that is all complete I will get back down to business on the novel side of town. I am really excited about a couple of these ventures! I will share more with you as time goes on. I’ll just leave a little hint. Southern Gothic.
My schedule has been hectic lately, and my writing time has definitely suffered, but I have a feeling things are going to get back to normal soon. I’m slowly turning my eyes toward November and NaNoWriMo and thinking, hmmm…should I? It would certainly be a great chance to get one of these rough drafts hammered out. I had to bow out last year, and I really missed it! I know it’s all for fun, but somehow it’s such a great atmosphere for inspiring creativity!
I’ve had a lot on my mind lately and I am assuming that has accounted for my rather chaotic writing life. I just want to get into some sort of regular routine. I don’t have much for today, so just thought I’d share a general kind of update.
